The Story Behind My Practice

My Practice Counselling Melbourne was founded on the philosophy that counselling should be a unique and transformative experience. We are motivated by a desire to provide you with solutions to life’s most difficult problems.

What sets us apart from others in the field is our approach that extends beyond the therapy room. We provide holistic counselling, resources, tools, and education to enhance understanding and self-awareness. We believe in empowering you with knowledge to solve any problem you may be facing.

We are committed to fostering a brighter and more fulfilling future for our community. My Practice Counselling Melbourne is engaged in initiatives aimed at improving the mental well-being of our communities.

We invite you to join us in this endeavour, to create a better life for yourself and contribute to a community that thrives on empathy, wisdom, and unwavering persistence. Because at My Practice Counselling Melbourne, we believe in YOU, your strength, and your potential to change. We are not just a practice; we are a movement towards a more compassionate world.

Together, Let’s Transform Mental Health, One Conversation at a Time…

Our Vision

‘Our vision is to create strong, supportive communities that empower people to fulfil their true potential.’

Our Mission

‘Our mission is to help every person build strong, resilient and self-supporting mindsets through compassion, communication and practical tools.’

Our Values.

Empowerment

TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO FACE DIVERSITY WITHIN LIFE WITH CONFIDENCE & COURAGE.

We value the impact and change that can be created by enabling a sense of empowerment within a person.

Empowering them to take control, face their trauma, their diversity, to become open to becoming the person they were always meant to be, not what society told them they should.

Empower an individual to tap into their true potential, in turn living a more fulfilled and happier life.

Safety

TO FEEL SAFE WITHIN OUR ENVIRONMENTS, CONVERSATIONS AND INDIVIDUALISM.

We value the necessity of creating safe environments for all.

To feel safe within a space.
To feel safe in a conversation.
To feel safe to be uniquely ourselves.

When we are safe, we feel respected, understood, and like we belong.

Understanding

TO UNDERSTAND OURSELVES AS WELL AS THOSE AROUND US.

We value the ability to understand our own mindset & behaviours.

Understanding why we feel, act, and react the way we do shines a light on our internal struggles which in turn then empowers us to overcome them.

We also value the importance of self-awareness, the ability to understand another so we can offer the RIGHT support where needed.

Empowerment

TO STRENGTHEN OUR OWN MINDSETS TO SUPPORT OUR OWN DIVERSITIES.

We are the creators of our own outcomes and while support from external parties is helpful, we should not be dependent on this support to get by or to ‘feel’ valued.

We value the ability to build a strong mindset that enables a healthy self-supporting system, empowering us to overcome the natural hurdles and challenges life throws at us.

Stronger minds will create greater well-being.
